About Afsaneh Reihanifard Fashion Designer • Creative Director • Illustrator • Fashion Show Director Afsaneh Reihanifard is an Iranian-Canadian fashion designer, illustrator, creative director, and fashion show director based in Vancouver, Canada.

She is the founder and creative vision behind Reihani Design, a fashion brand defined by femininity, artistry, refined craftsmanship, and visual story telling. Education and Early Career Afsaneh studied Fashion Design and Sewing Technology at Soore University in Tehran, graduating as a top-ranking student. Her education established a strong foundation in fashion design, illustration, garment construction, patternmaking, textile selection, and clothing production. Before immigrating to Canada, she developed an extensive career in Tehran’s fashion industry. She designed and produced women’s clothing, collaborated with boutiques and retailers in Tehran and other cities across Iran, at the same time organized and directed numerous fashion shows. After immigrating to Canada in 2013, Afsaneh continued her education in Computer Technology in Fashion at Vancouver Community College, combining her traditional fashion background with contemporary fashion technology and digital creative tools. International Fashion Experience Throughout her career, Afsaneh has presented her designs at fashion shows and fashion-related events in Iran, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Croatia, Dubai, and Bosnia.She has also maintained an extensive professional collaboration with Bridal Fashion Week in Canada and the United States. Her involvement has included serving as a Fashion Director, overseeing model casting and selection, contributing to runway production, and presenting her collections as a Fashion Designer. This multidisciplinary experience allows her to approach fashion from several perspectives—from the initial design and construction of a garment to model selection, styling, creative direction, and the final runway presentation. Vancouver Fashion Week Afsaneh has maintained a strong and continuing presence at Vancouver Fashion Week. During its Spring/Summer 2023 season, held in October 2022, she presented a meaningful runway show dedicated to supporting women’s rights and expressing solidarity with the women of Iran. In April 2025, she returned to the Vancouver Fashion Week runway with Fairy Tales, an imaginative collection reflecting Reihani Design’s distinctive femininity, artistry, and creative vision.

Beyond presenting her collections, Afsaneh has remained actively involved in Vancouver’s fashion community through runway shows, creative collaborations, model selection, styling, and special events. Fashion Direction and Modeling Competitions Afsaneh served as Fashion Director and Head Judge for Deeba’s International Adult Modeling Competition in 2024. In addition to directing the fashion component and leading the judging process, she personally selected and assembled the judging panel, appointing two additional industry professionals to evaluate the contestants alongside her. In November 2025, she returned as Fashion Director and Head Judge for an International Children’s and Youth Modeling Competition held at the Pinnacle Hotel. She oversaw the fashion direction, judging process, and selection of the additional judges. Drawing on her background in fashion design and show direction, Afsaneh evaluates runway presence, confidence, movement, styling, individuality, and each model’s ability to represent a garment with authenticity and character. Awards and Recognition Afsaneh was named Best Dressed at The Cup in 2023, recognizing her distinctive personal style and refined approach to fashion presentation. In 2024, a Reihani Design representative was also awarded Best Dressed at The Cup, further reflecting the brand’s strength in styling, visual identity, and memorable fashion presentation. Afsaneh and Reihani Design have also maintained a notable presence at numerous fashion shows, cultural celebrations, and special events in Canada and internationally. The Vision Behind Reihani Design reflects Afsaneh’s belief that fashion is more than clothing—it is a form of artistic expression and a way of bringing beauty, confidence, and imagination into life. Her creative approach brings together fashion design, illustration, craftsmanship, styling, creative direction, and visual storytelling. Each Reihani Design garment is developed with careful attention to silhouette, fabric, construction, embellishment, and feminine detail. Today, Afsaneh continues to develop Reihani Design as a fashion and creative studio where original garments, thoughtful presentation, and memorable fashion experiences come together.
